About the Presidio:

The Presidio Theatre re-opened on December 25, 2004 and has been independently owned and operated by Lee Neighborhood Theatres. It has 4 screens featuring first run films including mainstream, art and independent films - just like the 4Star. It's been completely refurbished with new seats, curtains, and screens. The opening comes 40 years after the Lee family first opened a movie theatre in San Francisco. The late Frank Lee, Sr. opened the Bella Union in 1964. We're very proud to continue this tradition.

About the 4-Star:

2 Screens with a kick-ass marquee, 4-Star Theatre, formerly the La Bonita Theatre in 1912, is independently owned and operated under Lee Neighborhood Theatres. Having won the battle to keep the theatre open, we continue to provide an alternative cinema from around the world, showcasing foreign and independent features. 4-Star Theatre is one of the last few theatres in the bay area to show new Asian films on a regular basis.
